Route with the possibility of combining different options according to the level or desire of each participant. 🚴♂️ Suitable for road bikes, gravel bikes, and e-bikes. For e-bikes, you can manage the battery using eco mode on descents to optimize consumption throughout the day. 📍 Common exit : Miraflores de la Sierra, Llerja Restaurant 🟡 🚴♀️ Alternative start/meeting point 👥 Possibility of joining earlier on the Colmenar Viejo bike path📍 Specific point to be agreed with the participants depending on their origin🔁 Ideal for those cycling from Madrid or the northern area 🧗♀️ Option 1: Full route (Morcuera + Canencia double slope) 🕙 Meeting at 10:00 am at the Llerja Restaurant in Miraflores de la Sierra The route starts from Miraflores de la Sierra and tackles the climb to the Puerto de la Morcuera pass, a 9-10 km ascent with approximately 600 m of elevation gain, constant and gradual. It's a pass with open spaces and a high mountain feel. After reaching the summit, the route descends to Miraflores de la Sierra to pick up the participants from the Canencia option. From Miraflores begins the climb to the Canencia Pass, an ascent of about 8 km and 360–400 m of elevation gain, with a narrower road, little traffic and a very forested environment with continuous shade. Once at the port, we descend to the village of Canencia and make the return journey, retracing our steps and tackling the climb up its northern slope, which is more demanding and sustained. After reaching the summit again, the final descent towards Miraflores de la Sierra. 📊 50–55 km📈 1,400–1,700 m+ 💪 Difficulty: medium-high 🚴♀️ Option 2: Reduced route (Canencia with flexible variant ) 🕦 Meeting at 11:30 am at the Llerja Restaurant in Miraflores de la Sierra Two options are considered within this route: - Full option : climb to the Canencia Pass via the southern slope (8 km, 360–400 m+), descent to the village of Canencia and climb again via the northern slope (8 km, more demanding). - Short option : climb from Miraflores to the Canencia Pass via its southern slope and return to Miraflores. 📊 25–30 km📈 700–900 m+ 💪 Difficulty: medium ⚠️ Responsibility and safety : neither the organizer nor the group members are responsible for any unforeseen events or incidents that may occur during the route.
