About this route

A very attractive route through the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains, ideal for mountain biking or gravel riding, combining forest tracks, rural roads, and some sections of secondary road. The route connects the town of Villalba with one of the most iconic landscapes in the area, offering constant views of La Pedriza and the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park.

The route begins in Collado Villalba, heading towards Moralzarzal, where the tracks become more open and easier to ride. From there, the route continues with a gentle climb through meadows and scrubland, over mixed terrain (compacted earth and some loose stones). As you approach Manzanares el Real, the scenery becomes increasingly spectacular, with views of the Santillana Reservoir and the silhouette of the Mendoza Castle.

The route is manageable but features constant climbs, making it enjoyable without being overly technical. It's a very well-rounded route: rolling in some sections, with short, challenging climbs and fast descents, but without significant technical difficulty.
