The exact starting point will be agreed upon between the participants. 🕙 DEPARTURE TIME 9:45 a.m. 🚴 PARTICIPATION 🚴‍♂️ Road bike 🚵‍♂️ Gravel ⚡ E-bike 🌲 GENERAL DESCRIPTION A high mountain road route starting and finishing in Rascafría, the heart of the Lozoya Valley, one of the most spectacular areas of the Sierra de Guadarrama. The route combines the ascent to the Puerto de Cotos pass to the vicinity of Valdesquí with two crossings of the Puerto de la Morcuera pass: first via its northern slope, descending towards Miraflores de la Sierra, and then via its southern slope before returning to Rascafría. A demanding and complete route, with great mountain passes, accumulated elevation gain and mountain roads surrounded by nature and magnificent panoramic views. 📊 ROUTE DATA 📏 Distance: 90 km ⛰️ Positive elevation gain: 2,115 m 💪 Physical difficulty: Very high ⚙️ Technical difficulty: Medium ⛰️ PORTS 🏁 Puerto de Cotos (Rascafría side): 11 km | 5.3% average gradient. 🏁 Puerto de la Morcuera (north side - Rascafría): 8.4 km | 6.8% average gradient. 🏁 Puerto de la Morcuera (southern slope - Miraflores de la Sierra): 9.4 km | 6.8% average gradient. 📍 REGROUPS 📍 Rascafría 📍 Miraflores de la Sierra 🏁 Summit of the ports 🛡️ SAFETY AND RULES 🪖 Helmet required. 💧 Sufficient water and food. 🚰 Possibility of refilling water in Rascafría and Miraflores de la Sierra. 🔧 Basic kit of tools and materials for repairing punctures. 📱 GPS with the track downloaded. 🚴 Regrouping at agreed points. 🔄 Each participant can adapt the route according to their needs. ⚠️ INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY -Each participant is responsible for their own safety and for complying with traffic regulations throughout the activity. -Each participant should assess whether the route is suitable for their physical and technical level before starting. -The person proposing the outing acts solely as the creator of the appointment, without professional status or assumption of responsibility for accidents, incidents or any other circumstance that may occur during the development of the activity.
