About this ride

📍 Meeting point: El Urogallo I restaurant, next to the kiosk opposite. Time : 9 AM Bicycle type: :MTB, gravel, ebike. Route description We start the route at the Casa de Campo lake, where we will take the green cycling ring, and from there we will begin a linear out-and-back route of about 35 kilometers along the Manzanares River. We will pass over the San Fernando Bridge, a historic 18th-century bridge that connected the city with the Royal Site of El Pardo. Afterwards, we'll leave the cycle path and head down a pleasant dirt track alongside the river. Along the way, we'll pass the former bathing area of Playa de Madrid, a popular spot in the 20th century. The route culminates at the Presa del Pardo, a 17th-century structure that still supplies water to the city. There, we'll make a brief stop to recharge, rest a bit, and admire the dam's iconic jet of water before beginning our return journey. In El Pardo you will also find the Palace of El Pardo, a royal residence since the 16th century, and although we will not pass directly by it, there is always the possibility of going closer to see it. It is a flat route suitable for all levels, ideal for enjoying history and nature without leaving Madrid.
