A good start begins before you start pedaling

Sometimes a route gets complicated.
-More kilometers than expected.
-More slope.
-Mud, rain, cold, heat.
-A faster pace than you imagined.
Or simply a route that didn't match your current level.
And when that happens, the problem isn't always the route. Often the problem is that we didn't have enough information before signing up.
At Bicicita, we want group rides to be easier, safer, and more enjoyable. That's why we're working on improving how groups, routes, and meetups are presented within the app. Because before signing up for a ride, it's important to understand things like:
-What level is the group at?
-What pace does it usually keep?
-How many kilometers is the route?
-What is the accumulated elevation difference?
-What type of terrain is there?
-Whether it's a calm, intermediate, or demanding outing.
-If there is mud, technical sections or complicated areas.
-What materials should I bring?
And if you're really prepared to finish it with good feelings.
It's not about excluding anyone. It's quite the opposite: about helping each person find the right outing for their situation. Because a bad experience can make someone stop going out. And a well-chosen outing can make them want to come back again.
In addition, we are considering adding professional guides to some routes or groups. These guides can provide helpful advice on technique, pacing, equipment, appropriate clothing for the weather, basic tools, and how to handle unexpected situations.
But we also want the app itself to be more helpful from the start: providing clear information, helping to define skill levels, and making it easy for each cyclist to sign up for routes where they can enjoy themselves, learn, and progress. We're constantly evolving, and any suggestions are welcome.
What information do you think should always be displayed before you sign up for an outing?
Explore. Connect. Pedal.
